Posts for this blog are made at least a week in advance and set to go live at midnight EST the day of posting. Any winners to the trivia and photo posts are added as we can the day the post announcing said winners goes live, and sometimes the links on Summary Sunday aren't live until later in the day Sunday. So, if you answered a trivia question or attempted to guess the picture, please check back if no winner is mentioned. Once we share the post on social media (Facebook, Pinterest, Google+, and Twitter), we will have any winners listed (if applicable). Thanks for your patience and understanding!

Term Thursday (30)

Verse of the Day
"O LORD, thou hast brought up my soul from the grave: thou hast kept me alive, that I should not go down to the pit." - Psalms 30:3

Today's Theological Term
"ALLEGORICAL HERMENEUTICS - Developed by the Alexandrian School of Clement and Origen in the third century, this approach obscures the true meaning of Scripture by assuming that every passage has four or five meanings.  Also called the mystical or spiritual method, it holds that the true meaning of Scripture lay hidden below the literal, obvious meaning.  The Alexandrian School saw the Bible as full of allegory and symbolism."*
